Mistakes, By: Chloe Maddox

Oh, the sting of truth may leave scars for many years, yet love reveals and heals those wounds deep in the soul replenishing even the deepest regret and misery.Though love's dazzling features may be deceiving, lying to the very soul and taunting you forever. The reason this happens is mistakes. If one person can be affected so deeply, a wound can be forged so easily, and a heart broken so quick with just one mistake, what can a million of those mistakes ruin for someone else? Will their life be soiled for eternity? Will they die of sorrow? Or will it change their life in a way that no one else can but the miracle of mistakes? If you refuse the mistakes and let them affect your heart none, then will that hurt someone else? Will they react to this with sorrow or joy? Or will they mask all emotions by putting on a blank face and stare into nothing? Yet when some act as if they are dying the most painful death and that just being here now with all of this madness forced upon them is like God punishing you in the worst way possible, some act as if they are about to burst with all of the happiness with them now. For, after all, we take life just one moment, one minute, one second at a time. Embrace the moment and the life that you live now and learn this lesson while you can, for it may be the difference between the happiness and the despair in your life. Do not let others words leave you broken and scared but let them give you wisdom in the future actions that you take. Live your life until it bursts open with joy and happiness.

Insanity Written by Halle A. Maddox

Pittter, patter.
Slish, slosh.
These are the sounds
of Rain.

Cries of agony,
Screams of terror.
These are the sounds
of Pain.

Boom. Cry.
Wail. Laugh.
This life is just
Insane.

What I Seek Written by Halle A. Maddox

A light in the dark
Is what I seek.
I want just a sliver,
Just a peek.

A breeze in the warmth
Is what I seek.
I want just a shiver,
No more heat.

Some air in the water
Is what I seek.
No more rivers;
Let me breathe!

A whisper in the silence
Is what I seek.
I want just a giggle,
Or even a shriek.
